Game 1 ... Deandre Hopkins gets injured and leaves the game ... as we mount a 4th qtr comeback, Will Fuller goes down with a ruptured disk and is out for 7 wks ... was a game of "who is who" at WR as the Texans finished out the game

Couple other users noted that Osweiler finished with 495 passing yards in an OT victory ... not by design however passing became necessary as we were down 14 pts to start the 4th qtr ... once we got it tied, Kizer would hit Henry (5 cth for 184 yds) on yet another TE corner route and went up by 3 ... Texans had to blow though 1:30 to kick a FG to tie it up and send it to OT ... was a fun game to play as Chargers threw for over 400+ yards ... interesting stat of the game: Chargers held to 12 rushing yards on 21 carries

Lamar Jackson began his campaign for mvp with a 300yd 2td game in a win over division rival Cincinnati. New Offense in Baltimore focusing more on the strides Lamar made as a passer this offseason and less as a runner, should be a fun season

Prospect
Ezekiel Elliot runs for 200 yards in a blowout loss to the Miami Dolphins in week 1. Most of the yardage coming from 2 long runs for touchdowns, the only scores on the day. The Cowboys had no answer for the Dolphins passing attack.

Atlanta Falcons Week 2:
Falcons hold off the pesky Saints, winning 33-23. Falcons led the entire game, led by big plays from John Ross III, Julio Jones, and Demariyus Thomas. However, the Falcons' defense, due in part to an injury that knocked MLB Deion Jones out for the game, struggled all game to slow down the Saints' passing attack. Two 4th quarter TD's by the Saints, cut a game that was once 30-9, down to just 10 points, but the Falcons pulled it out in the end.

Top Performances:
  • QB Matt Ryan | 16/24 265 yards 3 TD 0 INT
  • WR Demaryius Thomas | 5 catches 57 yards 1 TD
  • WR John Ross III | 3 catches 75 yards 1 TD
  • WR Julio Jones | 3 catches 58 yards 1 TD
  • DT Dominique Easley | 9 tackles 1 TFL 1.5 sacks

Short SF 49ers news:
RB Carlos Hyde out for 4 weeks with Shoulder Tear.

QB Watson has an unforgettable performance throwing for 4 INTs. Expect him to bounce back vs Steelers in Week 2. And defense needs to communicate better to contain passing game better.

Lions lose in ugly fashion to the Packers 27-10. Rosen has his worst game as a pro with 5 INTs, rookie WR Jeffrey Session is out for the next five weeks. This team doesn't look like a playoff team as they were dominated from the start. The Packers blitz kept Rosen dazed and confused and all 5 INTs came in one on one coverage with the Lions receivers losing the battle for the ball, honestly, looking quite lazy on most of them. Very disappointing home loss but it's time to move on and try to eliminate the turnovers. The Lions travel to San Diego next in week 3 to face the Chargers.

Week 3
Jets @ Dolphins

Jets came out and did what the Jets do, dominated the defensive side of the ball and help the Dolphins to 15 yards rushing and only 247 yards of offense total. The offense did what we're used to seeing, control the ball and do enough to win without being flashy. If not for the opening kickoff touchdown return by Jarvis Landry it would have looked even worse. 31-10 Jets over the Dolphins.

Key Stats:
  • Seth Russell: 12/19 184 yards 2 tds 130.1 QBR
  • Barkley/Scott combine for: 24 carries 108 yards 1 td
  • Jerel Vittatoe: 4 catches 101 yards 1 td
  • Darron Lee: 9 total tackles, 2 tackles for loss, 1 forced fumble
  • Tim Williams: 6 total tackles, 1 tackle for loss, 1 strip sack

Week 3
Broncos @ Steelers

This one was over early as the Steelers jumped all over the Broncos in the 1st and never looked back. To open the scoring the Steelers took the ball right down the field and capped off the first Drive with a 1 yard Devonta Freeman TD run. On the Broncos first drive the Steelers D stepped up right away with 2 straight sacks and forcing a 3 and out. After a nice punt return the Steelers O went right back to work with a 1 play 34 yard TD past from Ben to Martavis Bryant. The Defense continued to play strong the rest of the game holding Denver to 135 total offensive yards. 43 Rushing and 92 passing. The only Denver TD came on a Lucky Whitehead KR TD to kick off the 2nd half. Pittsburgh moves to 3-0 by winning 27-7.

Key Performers
Ben Roethlisberger- 16/22 342 yards 2 TDs 145 QB Rating

Martavis Bryant- 4 catches 124 yards 2 TDs
Arden Key- 7 total tackles 2 TFL 1 Sack
Aaron Lynch- 2 Sacks

Ravens 31 Patriots 10 - Week 3

After a slow start to the year Leveon Bell finally looks to be in regular season form as he post his first 100-yd game of the year. It was a great day for the running game as a whole as his backup cedric glears also went over the century mark. With a rather pedestrian day from superstar Lamar action Jackson the boost from the rbs was much needed! Defense continues to set the tone as we've now only allowed 50yds rushing through 3 games which is tops in the league. #1 Cb Kevin Tolliver also should be making his return in a couple weeks which should boost a defense that is already playing lights out.
