Redskins Lose Road Opener Preseason Game at Atlanta
By Rich Tandler | August 12th, 2016

Redskins traveled to Atlanta to open the preseason and come home a loser 32-23. The team struggled to stop the passing game of the Falcons, allowing 291 yards of offense. The Redskins did put up an impressive second drive that was capped off by an impressive 30 yard scamper by starting HB Matt Jones:

The game started off poorly for the Redskins as they throw the first of two interceptions on the day. The second interception in the 4th quarter would lead to an easy Falcons touchdown and put the game out of reach.

But, before that happened, the Redskins scored twice more, one, a two yard run by backup RB Keith Marshall:

The second a 25 yard receiving touchdown from Nate Sudfeld to Niles Paul:

We weren't able to get word from the players after the game, but new owner Jonathan O'Connor is expected to speak in the first of his post game press conferences that we've learned will be a weekly occurrence after a week in which the Redskins play a game, so look for that coverage to come soon and keep an eye out for more Redskins coverage here!
