The great Steelers of the past, the ones that captured Lombardi trophies, all had strong defenses and a strong running game. These Steelers don't have that type of defense yet, but they do have one the top offensives in the NFL. The offensive is lead by a "big 3" in Roethlisberger, Le'Veon Bell, and Antonio Brown. Big Ben had his best season throwing for 4,952 yards and 32 touchdowns with 103.3 passer rating. Bell coming off one the best seasons ever for a Steeler back has to sit out the first two games due to a suspension will be backed up by former Panthers back DeAngelo Williams. Bell will be back for the contest against the Rams as he will like to build off last season when he made 1st team All-Pro. Antonio Brown comes back after leading the NFL in receptions with 129 and yards with 1,698. Also coming back is Markus Wheaton, red zone threat Martavis Bryant and tight end Heath Miller. The defense has had to let go to veterans and the young guys need to step up and play "Steeler" football, which hasn't been seen in recent years. Lead by MLB Lawrence Timmons who coming off his 1st Pro Bowl season will continue to make plays and roam the middle along with young MLB Ryan Shazier. The secondary will have to find a way to replace certain HOF'er Troy Polamalu and vet Ike Taylor.
