Miami Dolphins - xSavedByGraceo

Owner:
Billy Carter – Carter has tons of experience in NCAA, but last year was his first season as a GM in the NFL CFM. Carter is known to be a great in the field of player development, which is exactly what the 2017 Miami Dolphins will need. Carter lost some games last season, but also won some games against some very tough opponents that was not expected. Carter always has his team ready to play, and tries to play tough smash mouth football. The Dolphins hope that in hiring Carter they will establish the mentality that even in defeat the opponent will know we had been there.

Offense: Playbook TBD – Last season Carter had trouble finding an offense that he liked, and it wasn’t until the end of the cycle that he found the playbook that fit his style of play. Carter likes a balanced attack, and believes in running the football. Carter likes big plays as much as the next guy, but will play a take what the defense gives him approach.

Defense: Playbook TBD – Carter likes to run a defensive package that puts his players in the best place to make plays. Last season Carter switched between the 4-3 and 3-4 each season based on his roster before finally sticking with the 3-4. Carter is not afraid to blitz, and tries to figure out the other user’s tendencies.

Season 1 Preview – QB
Projected Depth Chart

1. Ryan Tannehill (79 OVR)

2. Matt Moore (69 OVR)

3. Brandon Doughty (63 OVR)

Ryan Tannehill is the front-runner to win the starting QB job. Tannehill has spent most of his career on his back, as he has been the most sacked QB (184) in the league since 2012. The Dolphins hope with improvement to the Offensive line (Jermon Bushrod, Laremy “got any weed” Tunsil) they can keep Tannehill upright and with a young talented WR’s corps he can finally show why they selected him in the first round. However, the Dolphins will also look to develop rookie QB Brandon Doughty.

Season 1 Preview – HB
Projected Depth Chart

1. Arian Foster (81 OVR)
2. Jay Ajayi (75 OVR)
3. Damien Williams (72 OVR)
4. Kenyan Drake (70 OVR)
5. Isaiah Pead (67 OVR)

The Dolphins will use a back by committee approach this season and will be looking to add some speed, and reliability to the backfield. Most Dolphins fans as well as myself are upset that the Dolphins decided not to resign Lamar Miller., but instead decided to sign an often injured, (but very productive when healthy) Arian Foster. Foster is a good downhill runner who lacks speed, but he is probably one of the best pass catching backs in the league next to Matt Forte. Jay Ajayi spent some of 2016 injured but when he was on the field he was productive. Keep an eye on rookie rb Kenyan Drake who will most definitely contribute on special teams, and may also get some carries out of the backfield.

Season 1 Preview – WR
Projected Depth Chart

1. Jarvis Landry (87 OVR)
2. DeVante Parker (77 OVR)
3. Kenny Stills (74 OVR)
4. Griff Whalen (70 OVR)
5. Leonte Carroo (70 OVR)
6. Jakeem Grant (66 OVR)

Led by Jarvis Landry, the Dolphins will field a young but talented WR corps. Landry is a playmaker and can play both inside and out. Parker spent most of last season with a lingering injury, but came on strong at the end of the season. Parker has speed and can go up and get it. Stills had trouble adjusting last season and Carter has already put a bug in coach Gase’s ear to get him more involved. Carroo and Grant are two rookies who can make an impact. Of the two Jakeem Grant with his 96 speed will be a package player and make an impact on special teams.

Season 1 Preview – TE
Projected Depth Chart

1. Jordan Cameron (81 OVR)
2. Dion Sims (75 OVR)
3. MarQueis Gray (69 OVR)
4. Thomas Duarte (63 OVR)

Jordan Cameron leads the Dolphins TE group. He had an ok year last year and Coach Gase will look to get more production out of him this year. Outside of Cameron the Dolphins will be looking to upgrade their tight end group. However, Thomas Duarte is an intriguing prospect. Duarte played WR/TE at UCLA, has some speed, and the Dolphins will look to develop him in year one.
