Seattle gives
2.5 star SP Anthony Reyes (425K)
1.5 star SP Joba Chamberlain - probably better as a RP (minor contract)
1.5 star SP Mike Hampton (4.5M)

for

3 star CF Randy Winn(13M)
2.5 star SP Dicky Gonzalez (15M)

I cant see any of the players. It says they are all PDFs. Can you use the F12 screenshot in game and post the JPEG images?

Idk how I feel about this, Cubs really aren’t getting anything worthwhile at all and are taking on another bad contract. It’s not as harsh as Dicky & Randy, but still almost $5mil for a useless guy. Would like to see the cubs get at least some level of MLB talent back or a prospect who actual still has room left to develop and possibly make a roster.

I’m shedding about 23 million in payroll and acquiring a back end rotation pitcher and a young joba. The financial freedom of getting out of these contracts will help me

The reason I approved is Gonzalez is basically a salary dump. He could probably waive him and get no takers. So its basically Joba and Reyes for Winn. Hampton makes the money right

It seems like a starting rotation pitcher and starting CF (who could be an Allstar) just for a RP and two other cruddy pitchers isn’t too hot for me. Also both teams have plenty of money to spend so I don’t see it as being fair enough for one side just for a RP. If the Mariners can add some worthwhile prospect also, it could work for me.

I think you guys are being too nit picky here. Gonzalez is unwanted by just about anybody right now bc of his contract. So its Reyes and Chamberlain for Winn which seems reasonable.

We want to avoid lopsided trades not trying to make trades some semblance of "perfect". I don't see this as being lopsided or hindering to either team
