Madden 19 | VIP League Season 1 | Mid-Season Report:
Power Rankings:
1. SwaggKillz Packers 7-0 – With only one CPU game this year, the Packers have been rolling through everyone. They average 33 points per game but it hasn’t all been from the offense. The defense has accounted for 26 INTs and 7 TDs on the season. Aaron Rodgers hasn’t really put up crazy numbers with 12 TDs and 10 INTs but he makes plays when needed and they continue to win.
2. clutchology101 Cowboys 7-0 – Ezekiel Elliot leads the league in rushing and the Cowboys defense leads in rush defense as they only allow 42 yards per game. The 1st five games for the Cowboys were against the CPU which might have led to a lower ranking but they proved their worth when they defeated another top team in the Jags two weeks ago. As one of only two undefeated teams, there is no question that they deserve to be here.
3. Devonta2 Chargers – 6-1 The Chargers are 3-1 vs user teams with their only loss at the hands of the Bills. The numbers don’t lie for this team: Offense – 1st in YPG, 1st in passing YPG, 2nd in PPG and 4th in rushing YPG. Defense – 1st in YPG, 1st in passing YPG, 1st in PPG allowed and 7th in rushing YPG. CPU or not, this is a really good team on both sides of the ball.
4. Omletnator13 Eagles – 6-2 They are 4-1 vs user teams with the only loss coming while on auto. We were robbed of a great matchup vs the Jags but that’s the way it goes. The Eagles offense is very balanced. They are 4th in total YPG, 6th in passing and 9th in rushing. Wentz has thrown for 2127 yds with 15 TDs and only 6 INTs. They also use a three-headed monster at HB with Sproles, Ajayi and Clement combining for 178 carries for 719 yards. On defense they are 3rd in YPG, 2nd in passing YPG, and 9th in rushing YPG.
5. majesty95 Vikings – 6-2 The ranking between the Vikings and the Jags was real close but I went with the Vikings as they are the highest rated team that has played all user teams whereas the Jags have played 4 CPU teams. Offense: 13th total YPG, 15th passing YPG, 8th in rushing YPG. Defense is where this team really shines: 2nd in total YPG, 3rd in passing YPG, 3rd in rushing YPG.
6. The_Mr_Heisman Jags – 6-2 They are 3-1 vs user teams with a very explosive offense: 2nd in YPG, 3rd in passing YPG, 5th in rushing YPG and 4th in PPG. Defense: 8th in total YPG, 10th in passing YPG, and 12th in rushing YPG.
7. woodsmall12 Falcons – 5-2 The Falcons are 2-2 in user games but have been hot lately after winning 4 in a row. Offense: 3rd in total YPG, 2nd in passing YPG, 19th in rushing YPG. Defense: 7th in total YPG, 5th in passing YPG, 16th in rushing YPG. The Falcons play mistake free football most games as Matt Ryan has only thrown 3 INTs on the season.
8. WKXT85 Saints – 5-3 The Saints are 2-3 vs user teams. Offense: 14th in total YPG, 12th in passing YPG, 17th in rushing YPG. Defense: 9th in total YPG, 11th in passing YPG, 13th in rushing YPG. After starting 5-0 the Saints have been struggling lately.
9. JNYHART Ravens – 5-3 Ravens are 4-2 vs user teams. Offense: 24th total YPG, 29th passing YPG, 7th rushing YPG. Defense: 16th total YPG, 25th passing YPG, 8th rushing YPG.
10. Sanch0526 Steelers – 4-3 Steelers are 3-1 vs user teams. Offense: 10th total YPG, 13th passing YPG, 10th rushing YPG. Defense: 10th total YPG, 8th passing YPG, 20th rushing YPG.
