Browns Give Gordon Contract Extension
Let's see what Mark Schlereth has to say:

Huge news coming out of Cleveland today. Following a 24-19 loss in San Diego, the Browns have given Gordon a 4 year contract extension. This has been a huge story this year. Gordon was involved in two trade requests earlier in the season with the Cowboys and the Broncos. However, the committee decided Gordon was not worth the value of what the Browns were getting, so that lead us here. In the San Diego game Gordon turned in 5 catches for 166 yards and 166 yards. There is no wide receiver quite like this guy. After hearing that he was what he thought was undervalued, it looks like he is on a quest to prove everybody wrong and to show them he belongs in that top 5 category. So far, there's no reason to see why he isn't. He is currently 2nd in the league in receiving behind ODB. He has 17 catches for 368 yards and 4 TD. Let's take quick look at what makes this guy so special:

Love this re-signing by the Browns. They need to keep their wide receiver core intact.
Gordon's QB, Johnny Manziel, was happy to hear the news:
Gordon signed a 4 year deal for $26M. For a receiver of this caliber, the Browns got a great deal. This will keep him on the roster through 2019, and keep Manziel with a reliable target as owner, Chris Bigtex, tries to rebuild this Cleveland team.
