Another close win for the Texans, defeating the New York Jets 24-19. The Texans offense leaned on Lamar Miller and Tavadis Doucet to pound the rock against a stiff Jet defense. Brock Osweiler had a solid performance going 12 for 21 for 220 yards with 2 touchdowns and no interceptions. He spread the ball equally between his four main targets. TE Russell Herron was the leading receiver withe 4 receptions for 74 yards and 1 touchdown. The other touchdown was caught by Deandre Hopkins. The defense had a solid day against the Jets offense. Jet QB Ryan Fitzpatrick was knocked out of the game a did not return. Jet backup QB Mack McCray tried his best to lead his team to victory, but the Texans defense would not budge. The highlight of the game was a special teams play, as rookie Charlton Ragland returned a punt 64 yards for a touchdown. That is now back to back games for Ragland with a punt return for a TD.
