All-Star
Can the Texans repeat has been the hot topic at camp this year - Key adjustments made last year involved making trades to solidify the interior offensive line by bringing in Botonio and Scherff - on the defensive side of the ball the team moved to a 4-3 defense - this helped slow down most opponents running attacks which had been a major issue in 2016 - Former Hawkeye standout OLB Kirksey was brought in via trade in efforts to upgrade the pass coverage which paid off w 6 picks

Now check out our key off season additions along with some quick insight on the players for this year's draft class

Key additions:
The Texans added some depth with a power running back in Jermey Hill and some speed in Knile Davis who will also play a key role on special teams - FB Ted Bosler was added to plow the way behind an already stout interior offensive line - The converted TE could also play a factor in the passing game as a reliable target for Big Brock - On the defensive side of the ball, OLB Telvin Smith was brought over from division rival Jacksonville to cover space in the middle and the biggest acquisition of all was inking DE Clowney after he decided to test the market

The Draft:
CB Tony Brown was the Texans #1 pick this year to match up w opponents speedy WRs - His top end speed of 93 will help diffuse the big plays deep down field - SS Nick Washington was taken at the end of the 2nd round and considered a value pick considering he was the 2nd highest rated SS on the board and eventually slipped out of the 1st round - After that, the Texans brought in 3 former Iowa Hawkeyes to add depth to the roster - Iowa is known for developing NFL ready made players and that should serve the team well - The Outlaw Josey Jewell will add depth to the coverage type linebackers along w college teammate Ben Niemann - Throw in OT Ike Boettger to cover Osweiler's backside and this team is yet again destined for success!
