Negotiations Heat Up For Gordon
josh-gordon.jpg

Earlier this week the Browns new owner stated publicly that troubled WR, Josh Gordon, could be on the move. It's apparent the Browns are ready to cut ties with Gordon. While he was still suspended, it was rumored he might go to Dallas. Those rumors have now been squashed. Earlier this week his suspension was also repealed, you will see Josh Gordon week 1, but, will it be with the Browns? The Giants, Lions, and Seahawks all reached out to try to acquire Gordon. The Giants quickly backed up, as there wasn't much left to deal after the big trade they made with the Chargers in preseason. Lions made an offer that was top for a while, then the Seahawks dropped in with an offer that gave more value to the Browns. It seems that the Lions have backed off Gordon for now, but it doesn't mean they won't be involved with a trade for another unmentioned player. It's not known at this time if any other teams are bidding on Gordon, but I'm sure Chris Bigtex will hear everything before making a decision. Sources are confirming though that at the moment, the Seahawks are winning the Gordon Battle... Should be interesting to see how this turns out! Stay tuned!

Well, it turns out that both trades with the Cowboys and the Seahawks for Gordon were actually blocked. These teams sure missed out. The committee decided that Gordon wasn't worth the value that the other teams were going to give the Browns in exhcange for this special wide receiver. As it turns out Josh Gordon is a Brown for this year at least. A few questions remain, will he get a contract extension? Will the Browns let him walk in free agency? Will there be a sign and trade? Nobody knows at this point, but like I said for the time being Josh Gordon is a Brown. As everyone knows Gordon has had a troubled past, which is the main reason the Browns were trying to part ways. Maybe this will be a wakeup call for Gordon. Maybe he can finally get his head right and be a vital part of this organization. Let's see if the Browns can stay focused now that all of that is behind them and maybe start winning some games.
