pack1797
Hall of Famer

There are many things that can be said about Colts owner pack1797. That his decision making has always been top notch is not one of them. Pictured here at a Christmas gathering, he kept assuring guests that God loves the Colts "Because he told me so"

When we caught up with Pack, he was his usual, serious self.
Pack1797: Call me Pack, we're all friends here. Teacher isn't watching, man.
JW: Uh, OK, Pack. How do you feel about the upcoming season at px1sports?
Pack: Well, I'm excited to say the least. First of all, this League is a class organization through and through. From the Admin, to the moderators, but especially the commish. That guy is awesome. And he has the voice of an angel. All that being said, I'm excited because I feel like we're putting a high talent team out there on the field. We have some solid rookies coming in, some vets that we acquired through free agency, and of course, you can't forget our Captain and QB, Andrew Luck. I get excited just saying his name. Don't you?
JW: Yes sir, I'm a huge fan of Luck!
Pack: No, I mean I get excited in my soul. Like I'm meeting Abraham Lincoln. Like I saw bigfoot riding a unicorn. Crazy excited. Anyway, next question.
JW: Who do you feel will have the biggest impact coming in this year that is new to the Colts?
Pack: That's like picking my favorite kid. Not cool man. But there are several guys. Frank Gore is a Sherman Tank with a bad attitude. He's hitting guys on runs like they did something personal. Andre Johnson is another guy that has come in and sold out. The guy is a professional in every definition of the word. He's a huge help to Hilton and Moncrief as a mentor, maybe like a guru, one of those. Dorsett, our rookie WR out of Miami, is fast in his sleep. He needs some work to adjust to the speed of NFL defenses, but I think he's gonna be a superstar.
JW: The defense was a sore point for the Colts last year. How do you see it improving this season?
Pack: Sore point is a little harsh man. But that's cool. I'm used to you hard nosed reporters trying to get the big scoop. Here's the deal. Our defense got blasted on a big stage last year. Never mind the fact that the balls were so flat you could fold them. But that's all in the past now. The Patriots have a new owner, and I wish coach Dong all the luck in the world with that cheating bunch of carpetbaggers.
Oh yeah, the defense. Mathis is our anchor. He's our field general, and the guys rally around him. Vontae Davis proved to be a premiere corner in this league last year. We had some young pieces last year, and they've grown better with experience. Also, we inflate all our balls properly, every time. So I look for the defense to be improved this year as a unit.
JW: Well, that just about does it for our time here, any closing words for the fans out there Pack?
Pack: I want to thank the fans for their overwhelming support. This team is only as strong as you make us. I'd like to wish all the owners out there a healthy, injury free season. But I want to be clear on one thing. The Colts are coming this year, and they're coming to win. Hit me up on gameday, we'll talk football, have a drink, whatever...
JW: There you have it folks. Words from Colt's reclusive leader, Pack1797. Tune in to px1sports.com for all the news that fit to type on The Colts. This is Jack Wagon, signing off.
