Detroit Lions Improve to 4-0!

The Detroit Lions started the game inconsistently. They could not get a drive going after their opening drive which ended in a field goal. Going into half time the score was 3-0. However, much as they have done all season this team rode their defense and tried to play smart conservative football. The defense ended up with four interceptions and a forced fumble. With the rate they are forcing turnover they are giving their inconsistent offense multiple opportunities to get on the board. If this team is going to compete in the playoffs however, they are going to have to find a game plan that works for their personnel. The loss of Golden Tate is really hurting the wide receiving corps. Marvin Jones is the only guy out there that has reliable hands and does not drop passes in the open field. The Lions will look to keep their winning ways going this next week against the Eagles. If the defense continues to play well they really have a shot in every game they play. But at a certain point this defense has to get figured out, and when that happens this team will certainly take a loss.
