The Chicago Cubs and the Houston Astros have agreed to a massive deal.

The Cubs send:

OF Ryan Klesko (4.5 WAR last season, under contract until after 2002)

SP Kerry Wood


Houston sends:

2B Craig Biggio


OF Luis Gonzalez


P Chris Holt


Finances are about even in the trade. Klesko is due 13.6 this season. Biggio is due 7.5 million this season and Gonzalez is due 4.8. Cubs total number is 13.6m, Houston is 12.3.

I approve. At first I was skeptical, but this deal actually makes sense for both sides

I was also not sure on this one and had to take multiple looks. I think its close enough. Just FYI in the future, be sure to include team financials. I was not sure if HOU had budget room available. They do but had to look it up. I approve
