Much like the Browns play on the field this week we here at the office got a little lost in the shuffle this week. Our apologies. We here know how much all our loyal fans look forward to reading these weekly recaps. Another Weekly Recap, Another Browns loss.

Heartbreak, Devastating, Loss. Three words synonymous to Cleveland Football.

The Browns looked as if they were going to sneak out of Cleveland with another much needed win. However the Bengals had other plans. Browns up 10-9 in the 4th looked to be in control. It was the Bengals defense that stepped up on third down and picked off a Zach Mettenberger throw. They then marched 80 yards to take the 15-10 lead. Cleveland received with a minute left and then marched down the field. With 7 seconds left and no timeouts Mettenberger found Ray Rice open in the flats only to be stopped one yard short of the touchdown and win.

Zach Mettenberger had a very rough week. He look troubled early on. Had a lot of inaccurate throws. He just didn't look like himself. The Browns organization is under heavy fire this week. Many people believe the Browns played Mettenberger too soon. He was injured and knocked out of last weeks game. Though he was cleared by medical staff and made the decision to play many feel he was not ready. Many feel he should have taken another week off. Browns to blame here? Or is Mettenberger? Either way they need to figure out what is wrong with him. The Browns are dead center of a playoff battle. Playing games with an injured QB may not be the smartest decision. Could we see Johnny Manziel this week if Mettenberger looks hurt? Quite possibly.

Ray Rice is having a Pro Bowl season. He was used early on but much ignored after that. Racking up 71 yds on 15 carries the Browns for whatever reason shied away from the run game. Rice seemed disappointed but had nothing but goo things to say about the staff.

"Losing always sucks. Never have I lost a game in my life and not felt disappointed. You're looking into this to much. I'm disappointed because we lost. Not because of how I was used today. I trust this team. I trust this staff. Back off."

Not much of a passing day in Cleveland for either the Browns or the Bengals. Both teams were not on the same page. Rob Housler and Josh Gordon lead the Browns in receiving this week. One thing is for sure. The Browns offense needs to get on the same page. Not a single offensive TD came from the loss. That needs to change. Immediately.

Another great day for this Browns defense. Karlos Dansby yet again lead the way. There is not one week this man has taken the day off. Major props to him for having his best year as a pro. Another man who set a career best with his 7th INT on the season and 3RD TD of the season was Joe Haden. This defense that has been good needs to be great in the closing weeks. They have shown they can win games. In the mix of a playoff battle the Browns need to rely much on their defense.

A team that has some home grown roots with the owners being from Youngstown Ohio comes to town this week. San Francisco 49ers are a team that cannot and will not be taken lightly. The Browns know that they will have some fans of their own in attendance but are CONFIDENT the Dawg Pound will not allow them to be louder than them. The 49ers better come to play. The Browns have no room for error. They will be more focused than ever this week. 7-5. Let's make a push Browns. Let's show everyone that we are for real and that our bite is just as big as our bark!
