A head coach is a professional at training and developing professional athletes. Since 1999 Cleveland has had 8 head coaches. They will yet again be on a search for another one. This search has left a lot of experts puzzled as to why? Mike Pettine put together a record of 27-22 over the last 3 seasons with a playoff appearance. They were in full control of the wild card when in typical Cleveland fashion collapsed. Losing 3 of 4 to miss the playoffs. Thomas Star has stated he has a plan in place for the organization. We are here today to give a preview of who the 9th head coach could be.

1) John Fox

The former Carolina Panther, Denver Broncos and Chicago Bears head coach is the early favorite to the land the job. It's rumored that Thomas Star has already offered him the job. John would bring the veteran NFL leadership that this organization needs. He has lead two of his teams to the Super Bowl. He is one of two coaches to win both a AFC and a NFC Championship. He has a career record of 134-114.

2) Bruce Arians

Another coach on the Browns radar is Bruce Arians. 2x AP NFL Head Coach of the Year. 2x SB Champ as an assistant. A career head coaching record of 23-36. If hired this would be a sort of a homecoming for Arians. He was the offensive Coordinator for the Browns from 01-03. Will Arians get the call?

3) Jay Gruden

Former Redskins head coach and Bengals offensive coordinator. Jay got his start and made a name for him self in the Arena league. His head coaching career is off to a sluggish start and he's looking for a chance to redeem himself. A fresh start. A career record of 15-33 is Cleveland that fresh start for him?

4) Joe Philbin

A coaching veteran with a great football mind. Longtime Green Bay Packer coach. Joe Philbin was the head coach of the dolphins since 2012 with a record of 35-49. After an ugly departure from the organization will another team take a chance on him?

5) Jack Del Rio

A well traveled man in the NFL is Jack Del Rio. He's held a coaching spot on 6 NFL teams. Jaguars and Raiders are the only two teams hes ever been the guy of though. A career record of 72-102 could Jack come in and help an already stacked defense get better? Only time will tell!

Stay tuned people. The second we have any word on the new coach we will update you! Until next time Cleveland....
