The game started off great for the Jags as linebacker Myles Jack picked off rookie QB DeShone Kizer on the first play from scrimmage. Jacksonville would turn the interception into points on their first offense drive capped off with a 1 yard TD run by rookie Leonard Fournette for his 6th TD on the season.

On their second possession, the Browns would again get into trouble and give the Jags great field position as safety Barry Church picked off Kizer for the Jags 2nd interception of the first quarter, but the Browns defense wouldn't break in the redzone as the Jags had to settle for a Jason Myers 20 Yard FG.

After a couple exchanged punts by both teams the Jags would break the game open as nickel back Aaron Colvin jumped a quick fly route and picked off Kizer for the Jags 3rd interception of the half, taking this one 29 yards to the house to make the game 17-0.

The Browns would put up points in their next drive after marching down the field, capped off by an 18 yard TD run by 3rd string RB Terrance Magee, but Cody Parkey would miss the extra point kick to cut the Jags lead to 17-6. The second half came to a exciting finish as the Browns marched down the field again and looked to cut the lead before the half but the Jags defense would come up big again as defensive end Calais Campbell would knock the ball loose from Kizer inside the 10 yard line and the Jags would recover to go into the half up 17-6.

The second half started as well as the first half for the Jags, but this time on the offensive side of the ball as 3rd down back T.J. Yeldon would take a handoff a fight through multiple defenders on his way to a 75 yard TD run to push the Jags lead to 24-6 early in the 3rd quarter.

The Jags put the game away on their next defensive possession when Colvin came up with his second interception of the game and again, took it to the house, this time a 55 yard return to put the Jags up 31-6. The Browns would not go down easy as the rookie QB Kizer drove his team down the field on the next possession and cut the Jags lead to 31-13 on a 21 yard TD pass to receiver Josh Gordon. Cleveland would get a 25 yard field goal from Parkey with 6:57 left in the 4th quarter but the Jags offense would run the clock down to a minute left before giving the ball back to Cleveland one last time. On the last play of the game, Kizer would throw a desperation toss to the endzone, but Church came down with it for his 2nd interception of the game and would end the game with the Jags coming out on top 31-16.

Fournette Takes Home Player of the Week Honors
Jacksonville, FL -- The Rookie phenom running back Leonard Fournette was awarded the AFC player of the Week for his week 13 performance against the Indianapolis Colts. Fournette showed a combination of power and speed on his way to his 150 yard, 2 TD performance. Fournette broke off 2 long touchdown runs, including an 80 yard run in which he blitzed up the middle breaking off multiple Colts' defenders. Fournette has come into his own in the last few weeks with back to back multi touchdown games as the Jaguars have taken a slight lead in the AFC south over the Tennessee Titans with 4 games left in the season. The player of the week honor was the first of Fournette's young career. The 4th overall selection in the 2017 draft is leading the AFC rookie of the year race over Browns QB DeShone Kizer and is ranked among the leaders in rushing touchdowns and has the Jags 1 game behind the AFC leading Chargers for best record. The road, however, is not easy as the Jaguars prepare to take on 11-1 and NFC leading Seattle Seahawks in week 14 and conclude the season on the road against the Tennessee Titans in a game that could decide the division. When asked about the upcoming challenge against the top ranked run defense in the NFL, Fournette said, "I'm looking forward to the challenge. Seattle has a great defense and they're gonna bring it on every play, but I know that we will have a good game plan and be ready to battle, I'm ready to show what I got". In the biggest game of the season thus far, the Jags know that they will have to be perfect in order to give themselves a chance to win. Look for Bortles, Fournette and the offense to attempt to keep the Seahawks guessing and look for the defense to put some pressure on Russell Wilson. Can't wait for this one.
