Oh my.. Can you feel it!? Here in Denver, the buzz continues from our trip to the Playoffs in 2017. We are getting close to getting our season under way and we wanted to take a step back and go over one of the best offseason in Denver Broncos history.
Free Agency started with a splash! Our front office was surely busy in a good way. We brought in some key players we think can help improve our team and continue our goal to a Super Bowl victory. Let us take a look at a great offseason.
2018 FA Additions:
RB Adrian Peterson: No question about it, this man is going to change this running game in Denver. With CJ Anderson right behind him, this can spell trouble for opposing teams.
TE CJ Fiederowicz: With the departure of Virgil Green we needed some help fast. CJ will jump right in and take over the starting TE role. We are very excited to have this man in Denver.
WR Lucky Whitehead: This man is a special team god. Early indications show he will be taking over KR duties and jumping in in the slot position at WR. He can be a dangerously underrated tool.
CB Sam Shields: Sam Shields will be replacing Aqib Talib this year. Talib was released, at a fraction of the price this man will jump in for Aqib and perform just as well.
D-Line Help: Adding 2 new starting D line man well sure increase our pass rush. Welcome DT Haloti Ngata and RE Robert Ayers Jr.
Other key FA signings: K Josh Lambo, P Brad Wing, and TE Nic Jacobs.
2018 Draft Recap:
1st Round: MLB Cameron Smith USC
This kid is awesome. Freshman ALL-American, PAC-12 Freshman of the year, and having a great Sophomore year led to an early entry to the NFL.
2nd Round: OG Ross Pierschbacher Alabama
Big Ross is raw talent. We have some older guys on the Offensive left side so we will definitely need this kid sooner then later.
3rd Round: Baker Mayfield
Baker, Baker, Baker, I'll take a TD please! Paxton Lynch better be careful, this kid loves competition!
