Playoffs or Bust​

Here we go again Cleveland! Season 3 of owner, Chris BigTex's run here in Cleveland. We have managed to finish with winning records the last 2 season at 9-7, however, we have no playoff run to show for it. BigTex has expressed that he is at the line, and if playoffs aren't made this year, things could change. We first take a look at head coach Mike Pettine, who's job is definitely on the line. The 2nd place we go to is QB. Manziel has been a solid QB while here in Cleveland, but with the signing of Mike Glennon in the offseason, and drafting of QB Brody Sam, things look like it could be in the works. This is Manziel's final year in his contract and I'd go so far to bet if he doesn't make the playoffs, he's done here in Cleveland. At this point, nobody should feel their job is "safe". BigTex is a big coach that demands big results. He stressed that to Mike Pettine this week, and we saw a lot of second stringers get playing time in practice this week. Pettine was quoted as saying,

Everybody will play.. The most important thing is we all get on the same page sooner than later

The preseason should tell us a lot about the future of this team. As will the early weeks of the year. Don't be surprised if your favorite player gets traded or cut for not giving 100% on every play. Talking about preseason let's talk about this draft class we just had. The biggest story was for the second year in a row, the Browns had someone in mind, and decided to pass on him. Last year it was WR Evonte Patrick who got picked by the Raiders one pick after the Browns selected. This year it was QB Garrett Strong, who was picked 2 picks after the Browns selected. BigTex told his scout this week, if this happens again, he's out. The Browns did find some gems in the draft though. Let's look at the top 3!

There you go Browns fans, that's your 2017 draft class! Definatley got some good upgrades on defense, and added some youth to the aging O Line. With 2nd year man Taz Brandon one of the best at his position, and rookie Markus Cole, it looks as if Cleveland may switch to a 4-3 next year, after Cole gets some experience under his belt!
