Your Buffalo Bills finished last season with a disappointing 6-10 record and went into the offseason with questions on both sides of the ball.

In free agency, the Bills loaded up on depth and made moves to prepare for the switch to a 4-3 defense. The addition of Phil Taylor at Defensive Tackle, along with the movement of Jerry Hughes to Defensive End gave solid bookends to Darius in the trenches. This left only one question, who would start at the other defensive end position? Second year man Shaw Lawson has not developed as quickly as the team hoped, so who would Buffalo use to fill the spot?

The Law firms
In the first round of the draft, Buffalo surprised many by drafting Carl Lawson out of Auburn in round one. The plan appears to be to let Carl start this year, develop Shaq another year, and with Hughes playing in his contract year, be prepared to hopefully have Lawson and Lawson at defensive end for the foreseeable future.

In the line backing core, Zach Brown, Reggie Ragland, and Preston Brown will complete the Bills front seven.

The Bills stayed with the SEC and drafted Eddie Jackson out of Bama in the second round. The rookie SS will start the season at #2 on the depth chart behind vet Robert Blanton to develop. The rest of the Bills secondary remains intact from 2016.

A pre draft trade with New England brought OG Shaq Mason to Buffalo to bolster one of the teams weak points from 2016. Returning starters Incognito, Glenn, Grubbs, and free agent signee Mike Remmers round out the starting linemen.

Charles Clay returns as the number one tight end, and right behind him is third round draft pick Jake Butt from Michigan.

Sammy Watkins, Robert Woods, and off season acquisition Eddie Royal will be the top three receivers with second yearcman Kolby Listenbee hot on their heels.

Tyrod Taylor has put any questions about the stability of his position to rest, and comes in as Buffalo's starter. He will be backed up by EJ Manuel and Cardelle Jones.

At running back, Lesean McCoy looks to have a bounce back year behind a stronger line. Karlos Williams starts the year injured, paving the way for 5th round pick Taylor Riddle to see playing time early.

Ending week four, the Bills sit at 3-1 and hold a 3-0 record in the AFC East. Their defense is ranked number one in the league. Go Bills!
