The seahawks got off to a rough start last season going 2-7 to finishing the season at 8-8. Plans for this season were to resign and retool for the next season. Little did they know things were to take a very strange turn as they decided to keep starting mlb Wagner and let star qb Wilson test free agency. Wilson became a hot commodity and was too costly for the seahawks. They are now forced to rebuild this offensive unit and puts coach Pete Carroll in a tough situation this season. He has 3 qbs that could possibly start. The addition of Alex Smith gives them veteran leadership and a proven winner but also brings baggage as smith has been traded away from his last to teams for a better fit for the system. Will Smith play with something to prove or show all the reasons why he's been traded. Terrell Prior is another qb that has a chance. Prior has the most experience with this offense but has always been labeled as a qb with potential but never been a to reach it. The last qb Naquan Bennett who is a rookie but has many characteristics that they just lost in Wilson. He is a unproven rookie but so was Wilson and that turned out great. One thing the seahawks can rely on is the defense that has not lost much and is looking better then ever after picking off a Superbowl team 5 times in the first preseason game. The players to watch this year will be marshawn lynch and Christin Michael. Lynch is getting up in age and Michael has made some noise in the preseason rushing for over 140 yards and 2 TDs, it may be time to see what you have in this 3rd year player.
