49ers dropped their first game of the season to the Saints 24-17 despite a good effort by Kaepernick and the offense. They got inside the redzone with 12 seconds left but failed to get to the line in time to run a final play. Kap threw a costly INT in the 2nd quarter while in the red zone that ended up being a big difference in the game. Drew Brees completed 16 of 21 throws for 2 TDs and 0 INT. 49ers will play division rival and Super Bowl winner Seattle Seahawks at home next week.

The 49ers took a big blow to their season during the 2nd game of the season. Starting QB Colin Kaepernick was knocked out of the game with a broken collerbone in the 1st quarter and is now out for 7 weeks. Not only did they lose their QB but lost the game 34-28 to defending champions Seattle Seahawks.
Scott Tolzien came in and threw for 183 yards, 2 TD, and 3 INT while Carlos Hyde had 94 yards and a TD. Malcom Floyd continued his hot start with another long TD reception.

49ers will look to get their first win at Atlanta

49ers were able to use a strong defensive effort to get their first win of the season against the Falcons 14-13. Rookie Montrel Ewing was able to INT Matt Ryan in the end zone at the end of the game to seal the deal. The defense had a total of 2 INT and 3 sacks on the game and were able to keep the high powered offense in check especially on the ground only allowing 39 yards. Carlos Hyde was able to have another 90+ yard game on the ground and Scott Tolzien threw a TD pass to vet Vernon Davis. Bruce Miller scored the other TD from the 1 yard line with a run up the middle. 49ers will play the winless Bucs next week.
