The Rockies FINALLY invest some of their $42.6M available to boost their pitching with a couple of solid veteran arms struggling for form. Slowey would round out their rotation and Rice gives them another arm with set-up man upside in the bullpen. Marte is surplus to requirements in Colorado, where he's the 5th highest rated OF in terms of overall or potential, but he'd start for the Blue Jays (who would shift him back to his more natural corner in LF). Toronto can afford to give up the arms because they have some coming back from IL and up from AAA.
