Oakland-Baltimore Trade - VETOED

The Oakland Athletics are ready to move on from some long time Players as well as a couple recent arrivals. In an attempt to restructure the team to possible make a deep playoff run in 2004 the As have decided it is time to part ways with standout 1B Jason Giambi who won his second consecutive Gold Glove this season, Longtime Pitchers Brett Tomko and Eric Milton who have combined for 75 wins in the last 3 seasons, Disgruntled Shortstop Gary Disarcina who wants the opportunity to start which he would have in Baltimore, and One of Oakland's top prospects in Shortstop Jason Bartlett.

In this trade Oakland will gain a pitcher that will be able to start for the next few seasons and a Center-fielder who will be on the bench this season in Baltimore but will have the opportunity to start in Oakland.

The Os will be gaining 2 SPs that will help cement their rotation for the next few seasons as they have superstar prospects developing in their minors. They gain a major upgrade in their First Baseman by acquiring Jason Giambi, a power hitter who will excel in the Power hitter friendly park that Baltimore has. A Stopgap Shortstop that can play well and hold down the fort until the prospects take over. and a Shortstop prospect with the potential to have a long and great career in Baltimore. This move also removes Coco Crisp from the team who will be benched for Luis Terrero this coming season thus getting rid of an unhapy player before he even gets the chance to be.

TL;DR: Oakland is trading a possible 5 Starting players to the Os for a Starting Pitcher and an outfielder who will be on the bench next season. this move better suits the stages each team is in at the moment.

I can't give this my approval. O's need to get some sort of redeeming prospect in this to get my yes vote. Giambi and Milton have solid value, but I need to see a younger guy with solid potential or current traits. Crisp and Webb are both not even into arb yet & hold all star potential. If it's going to be a salary dump I can't say yes unless one of these players Baltimore is getting stands out to make it a fair deal.

Edit: Yes I see Bartlett, but seems he doesn't have much room to grow. I'd say Crisp & Webb are arguably better than every player Baltimore is getting, plus they're still on minor contracts with room to grow.

Edit 2: WIth Rojas added, I give my approval. If utilized, could develop into a nice MLB starter. Adds value to Baltimore & clears up my issues stated above.

Approved.

Not an issue with 2 guys in the other side

can be done as 2 trades since there are two players from Baltimore being traded, the financials are still fine since Rojas is making minimum

We're not going to jump through hoops to make a trade work. The game limits five per side and that's what we're going to stick with.

Include the stats of the players on the pics. I have no idea what Giambi and Milton have done lately. Or any of these players for that matter. Ratings aren't 100% indicators of success.

With that being said, I dont like this trade. Two 23-year-old potential stars for a bunch of washed up guys doesnt make sense to me

I still need clarification on the 5 guys to vote but it seems Baltimore is giving up two very good young players for multiple players past the age of 25. (only Bartlett is under 25, Rojas is 25 already).

Edit: Majesty already answered the question.
