It’s that time again folks, the lines are painted, the stadiums are being packed. And it’s time to see the new team take the field. But what team is this? It’s got some new faces and some old faces. And I think we can all confidently agree the most important new face was drafted 1st round out of Louisville.

Lamar Jackson is taking over the helm from veteran Carson Palmer and will be bringing some extra firepower to the offense. His speed from the quarterback position can be game breaking, and he’s not the only speedy addition to the offense. Cardinals go within division and sign potential #1 receiver Paul Richardson and go out and draft former Oregon and Utah WR Darren Carrington II.

That top end defense from last year remains intact for the most part, and adds some key spots. Two new starters will be on the defensive line and multiple players rotating. Easily that was the weakest part of the defense and hurt the run stopping ability of the unit as a whole. Expect another strong defensive outing this year.

This team should be every bit as good this year as last, minus the possible growing pains of a rookie qb. But the defense will be there to help him out. With those growing pains and tough schedule we see this team going 11-5.
