Washington played until the very end, but was unable to come from behind against the Eagles. The game ended with the Redskins inside the red zone but the clock working against them. As time expired, Colt McCoy threw a post route to Josh Doctson near the end zone which Doctson was unable to maintain while coming to the ground to lead to the final score of 27-21. This drops the Redskins to 4-2 on the season and leaving the division lead to the Giants.

Game 6 Nuggets:

  • Colt Mccoy played very well in the absence of Kirk Cousins, except for 2 errant passes. McCoy was 19/31 with 2 touchdown passes leading the charge against the Eagles.
  • The Redskins continued to spread attempts among it's running backs but Robert Kelley seemed to stand out with 54 yards on 10 attempts, finding the end zone on a 21 yard scamper.
  • Welcome back Terrelle Pryor! Pryor returned with 4 catches for 97 yards and caught 1 touchdown pass during the game.
  • The Redskins had 8 different players with receptions during this one, with 6 of them having multiple receptions in the game.
Injuries:
  • Nothing new on the Injury Front. It is looking more and more likely that Kirk Cousins will not be cleared to play against the Seahawks, as the team is shooting for the week after against the currently undefeated Minnesota Vikings.
They Said It---Jay Gruden

  • "We just could not stop Blount. It didn't matter if we sent 8 players to the box or our entire team at one point, we just could not bring that big boy down."
  • "I thought Colt played very well. We fell behind early which is not something we have been used to this season, and he brought us back into the game."
  • "We had 2 horrible pass interference calls on 3rd down and long that severely hurt us in this one. It seemed that whenever we had momentum begin to shift in our direction, we dug ourselves back into a hole."
