Week one for the bengals was nearly a disaster as they fell behind early 13-0. However, the special teams play of rookie stars Joe Mixon and John Ross allowed the Bengals to make a big time comeback. By the end of the half the bengals were nursing a 12 point lead over the rat birds. In the 2nd half Dalton was able to find AJ Green and John Ross for touchdown receptions. This gave the Bengals at one point a 19 point lead that they struggled to maintain. Ultimately the Bengals would hold on for a 52-47 win over the Baltimore Ravens.

The troubling sign for the Bengals has to be the inconsistent play of Andy Dalton. Despite having several weapons around himk, he just cannot put together a dominating performance. This play has led to some fans to start asking when AJ McCarron might see some game action.

Towards the end of the game rumors began to surface that the Bengals front office plans to shuffle the depth chart in advance of the week 2 matchup with the Super Bowl favorite Houston Texans. However, no names were provided, but this should make for an interesting wrinkle at kickoff next week.
