NEW STADIUM - NEW CITY?
Little has changed in Oakland since last season. The Raiders proposal for a new place to snap the ball was shot down by league officials last December who felt Mark Davis could not muster the funds needed. Where does this leave the team now?
Rumor has it that former Miami Dolphins line backer Spencer Strasmore is teaming up with Wayne Hastings Jr of Wayne hotels in Las Vegas to make a bid to move the team. This may not go well with league officials but it is obvious that Mr. Hasting does have the capital and political power to shift opinion in Las Vegas. As an outsider he may not have the league vote which makes his relationship with Strasmore interesting.
Mark Davis, Oakland Raiders team owner could not be reached for comment but was avid about his commitment to Oakland last season. Is his opinion the same this year? Will the appeal of a partnership with other parties in Las Vegas appeal to him?
Only time will tell.
