Season 1, here we are. Like all the other PX1FL teams, the Jets have made a shift in the front office, with Shane Falco taking over as owner and General Manager of the club. Shane has his work cut out for him as the Jets have the worst roster in the league, hands down.

Offense: The Jets will attempt to run the football this year. This strategy is not predicated on any preference or anything, its more that all our WRs and QBs stink, so we will try and lean on our okay HB tandem to gain yards behind our mediocre offensive line.

QB: Josh McCown (74 OVR) heads into the season as the starter. Josh is a journeyman who is roughly 63 years old and has started games for about 49 different NFL teams. Here he holds down the position, probably just for one season. Behind him is Bryce Petty and Christian Hackenberg, two young players who looked like they could have an NFL future until they joined the Jets.

HB: Why get young HBs when you can overpay for past their prime veterans who will regress right away!? The versatile Matt Forte (86 OVR) will lead the way though there is no telling how much tread is left on the tires at 31 years old (thats like 106 in HB years). Backing him up is 28 year old Bilal Powell (82 OVR). These two should be able to effectively split carries and keep one another fresh while rookie Elijah McGuire (71 OVR) will be given a handful of carries here and there as well. The FB is some kid who isnt important enough to remember but is sure to score 20-30 TDs on 1st and goal opportunities inside the 2 yard line.

WR: Quincy Enunwa (74 OVR) is a young wideout who has a nice speed and size combination and is the teams most reliable target, so naturally he broke his neck in preseason because that seemed more enjoyable than trying to play as a NY Jet. The next 4 guys below him are rated 69, 69, 66, and 62 OVR. They have names, but when you are that bad, why would I embarrass you by putting your name on the internet. Suffice to say, the passing game looks like its headed the wrong way on a one way street during rush hour with the DC sniper loose and gunning for them.

TE: Austin Seferian Jenkins (77 OVR) does the opposite of a retiree and moves from florida to the big apple. Austin is young and has talent, but since hes a Jet he naturally has slow development. Rookie Jordan Leggett comes straight off of a national title at clemson, hopefully that college glory is enough for him, because lord knows he ain't gonna find that level of success as a Jet. Chances are that the TEs and the HBs will catch all the passes this year. I mean, i'll try to throw to the WRs, but they are so bad i'd put the over under on completed passes per game to WRs at like 2.5.

O-Line: James Carpenter (83 OVR) at LG is a solid player and a very good run blocker. The rest of the line is in mediocreville but they are all under 30 years old, so they should make fine backups somewhere in the league for years to come after the Jets fold their franchise in shame.

Defense: As long as out oponents run straight at our front 3, the defense should be just fine, but if other teams are cheesy bastards and call tricky money plays (for example, passing plays) this group could be in trouble.

D-Line: Hard to know the overalls here since the last administration was trying out new theories concerning 300 lb corners to see if it would help, but Leonard Williams, Muhammad Wilkerson, and Sheldon Richardson should be the front 3 in this 3-4 defense come opening day. These guys are young (23, 26, and 27) and should form an anchor for the defense, assuming we can afford to keep paying them with an empty stadium.

Linebackers: We have a wealth of mediocre LBs in the big apple with 7 guys having OVRs between 72 and 76. These guys are all under 30 and some of them are pretty athletic, so when they arent running into each other and watching opposing offensive players run past them they may actually make a play here or there.

CB: A motley crew of castoffs from more successful franchises, this position proves that even if you arent good enough to make it in the NFL, you could still start for the division 1-AA Jets, so dont give up on your dreams. Morris Claiborne, the most embarrassing DB to come from LSU in at least a decade leads this position where the next three players went to Tennessee-Chattanooga, North Dakota State, and Samford universities. They have looked lights out in practice since they face the same level of competition they saw in college on the Jets starting offense.

Safety: Like the D-line, this position offers a ray of hope, even if it is slim. Top flight draft pick Jamal Adams is a potential star in the making, not that anyone will notice stars on a team as bad as this one. Starting opposite the LSU alumni is another SEC rookie, second round pick Marcus Maye out of Florida. These two could develop into a solid safety tandem which, along with the D-line, should allow the team to only have to focus on 17 positions where they are terrible, instead of 22!

Verdict: we stink, if we win games its because the rest of the users in this league arent nearly as good as they think they are.

UPDATE: When you cant win, why not trade away talented young players, its a rush!

The Jets make a preseason move to help the dilapidated used car lot that they call a WR corps and Acquire veteran WR Jermaine Kearse form the Seattle Seahawks. All it cost us is a young stud defender with Fast development......

I mean, I guess we also got a 2nd round pick we can squander, so.....

In the short term, it improves a WR group that was going to be hot garbage without Quincy Enunwa this year, and with him and Kearse plus a year of development for the younger guys, the WRs actually might be okay on this team. However, the loss of Richardson is a big one, sure we have some serviceable guys that can get on the field in our front 7, but we let a star go that we were hoping would be a cornerstone of our D for the cycle. Whether this was an okay trade or not hinges on what we get with that 2nd round pick, but for now it looks like a bad deal. Hopefully this draft has a good QB that we can take at #1 overall!
