Purple Rain Supreme

The Vikings look to be contenders this year with the new front office moves. This will be year 1 of the Post Adrian Peterson apocalypse. While the quarterback situation and offensive line leave much to be desired on offense, star wide receiver Stefon Diggs will open up running lanes for newcomers Latavious Murray and rookie Dalvin Cook. Don't forget about Eric "how am I always open" Thielen or Eric Rudolph as they can really gash a defen- who are we kidding this offense is terrible. However, role players will provide a big impact if given the opportunity and that's what the Vikings hope to do.

Defense is another story. They are solid from top to bottom and will rely on their strength on the defensive line. Everson Griffen and Danielle Hunter will strike fear in any QB's heart and the middle will be held down between Sharrif Floyd and Linval Joseph. With a top 5 line, the Vikes will rely on their Nickel defense quite a bit. Anthony Barr will be all over the field alongside Eric Kendricks wreaking havoc in the middle of the field. Not to be forgotten is the secondary led by Hunter Smith, the fiesty Xavier Rhodes and an underrated Trae Waynes.

**Fun fact of the day: The ageless wonder Terrance Newman was the first and only player ever to attain 99 speed in NCAA football** However, the years have gone by and his speed has gone down. Way down. His veteran presence will provide ZERO impact and he will continue to get burned by any and every one. Look for the Vikings to move him to Safety or match him up against women and small children.
