League Guidelines
  • Difficulty: Allstar
  • Games Per Season: 82 (Up for Vote)
  • Quick Counts: On
  • Guess Pitch: Off
  • Advance Schedule: Random, based on league average. Slowpoke Rule will be in effect.
  • Rosters: OSFM
  • Trade Committee: BigTexas18 NightHawkTH32 woodsmall12
Slowpoke Rule
Since games are play as you go, there will be a slow poke rule, to not hold the league up. If a user falls 15 games behind the league average of games played, games will be simmed to catch up, so we can keep moving.

Trade Rules
Because of the limited schedule, we will allow up to 3 trades a year. To be able to process a trade, it must be posted in the transactions thread. The trade will be voted on by the committee, once it passes then it may be submitted in game, then it will go to a league vote in game. If it passes both of those stages then the trade will go through. No rating threshold on trades, due to the 2 stage process. When posting a trade, it must be put in the Transactions thread and titled "Rangers-Nationals Trade, or whatever team you are. You must tag both users and committee, then post players name, age, overall, position, potential, and contract.

*We are going to amend the trade rules. We are still allowing 3 trades per year, but only 2 will be allowed with CPU max*

EXAMPLE:
danwin
Nolan Ryan SP 99 Overall A Potential 33 Years Old
4 Years 35M

Trade With sifukeatis
Sandy Koufax SP 99 Overall A Potential 34 Years Old
3 Years 30M

Free Agent Rules

A team may sign up to 3 FA per advance period, Regardless of overall.

Content Rules
There will be a team page required for every team. A general synopsis will be due at the end of spring training. It can be over whatever you want, whether it be how your team performed, predictions, keys to the season. Anything involving your team. A post will also be required whenever a roster move is made (Player released, FA signed, Call ups, Send downs, Trade). Then a recap at seasons end, and as we got through offseason , the content rules kick back with the end of spring training

Twitch Rules
Every game will be required to post on twitch. Please work with your opponent to see who will stream. PX1Sports must be in the title.
EXAMPLE: Rangers vs Astros PX1Sports

Sim Play Rules

- Players must be played at primary or secondary positions
- Starting pitchers can only be used in bullpen roles as long relievers
Pitching
- All teams must use a 5 man starting rotation
- Mix up you pitch type and location
- Dirt balls and balls over the batter's head should not happen frequently
- No quick pitching, you must give the batter time to prepare for the pitch
- Do not intentionally hit the batter
- Do not sub your pitcher in the middle of an at bat
- You can use whatever pitching option you want
Baserunning
- Do not start to steal before the pitcher starts his delivery
- Runners can only advance one base on an infield hit unless there is a throwing error
- You can use whatever baserunning option you want
Fielding
- Do not attempt to throw a runner out at 1st on a ball hit to right field
Hitting
- Bunting should be realistic and used for a sacrifice or with a fast batter at the plate
- Do not sub your hitter in the middle of an at bat
- You can use whatever hitting option you want

Bench Player Rules
All subs must play a certain percentage of games. Teams don't have players on their squad just to sit on the bench. Since they took out the energy bar for position players, we are going to require you to manually sub your players in for games, because players in real life do get fatigued, and get days off. Research subs play about 35-50% of games depending on skill and team needs, and player fatigue. We are going to require all teams to sub bench players in once every 2 series, or once every 5 games. This doesn't mean that all sub players have to be in for the same game, they just need to make a start along those guidelines.

*
Rules may be edited as we go along through the season, with notice*
*Everyone required to read, like the rules thread, and comment agree to start*
*Please vote for Games per season*

Are you setting a rule on what type of hitting and pitching interface should be used or are we free to use whatever we want? I would suggest a rule on only playing players at a position that they are shown to be eligible for. I have played in leagues where someone tried to put whoever they wanted at 1B. Same thing in pitching staff. A rule where only SP can be used in bullpen if they are used as long relief. I would suggest the flex schedule, I think that is what it is called, that way guys can get games in when it is best for them. If you wanted to put in a rule of so many games can only be played in a week you could but allowing guys to play games ahead in the schedule would really help get games played. Also, you aren't including legends are you? I noticed you used two in trade scenarios. Other than that I'm ready to go. Wait, are we playing the spring training? I will do whatever you want but skipping spring training would knock 30 games off schedule that guys would have to play that would make getting season in easier. I would honestly just let my spring training be simmed because I already know how i want my roster setup. Also, it leaves more time for the draft and free agent signing period. If we include spring training it could be the end of june before season ever starts.

Just a suggestion per hitting interface. If the game doesn't allow you to restrict it you may not want to. Yes, you can watch games, but you are putting extra work on yourselves. You just might not want to put a lot of restrictions in that you have to police yourself.

The position thing is certainly logical and any "sim" player should want to abide by that IMO.

yes, good idea Majesty. The less headaches the better. I just wanted to make sure if there were guidelines for it.

So we can use any hitting interface we would like?

Also, it might be a good idea to let the person batting be the one who fast forwards through cut scenes and such. This way it cuts out fast pitching and the having to pinch hit after a pitch is already thrown. There has been several times where I'm trying to pause to pinch hit but pitcher is fast forwarding and throws before I can even pause to pinch hit.
