We've been talking about the advance schedule behind closed doors for awhile but hadn't really come up with a definitive solution. However, I think we need to set something in stone as voted on by the league so we have some peace of mind when it comes to advancing.
One thing that we were all pretty much in favor of was a 48-hour advance cycle. While the three-day advance has served a purpose at times, I think it can bog the league down at times as well. So, we will definitely implement some version of that. Here are my two proposals:
A. Hard deadlines of MON, WED and FRI morning at 10 AM CST. This would give us a fulle three days over the weekend and 48 hours during the week. It would eliminate any confusion on when the advance is.
B. Continue as we do now with advancing as soon as all user games are done or 48 hours, whichever comes first. We would still have a hard advance MON morning after advancing for the weekend on THU or FRI (depending on last user game). We would still get a break on the weekend but power through the week as fast as possible.
There are not huge differences with either but option B could get us a few extra advances here and there. There would be more structure, however, with option A.
