Week 2 preview

Starter
Week 2 your Tennessee Titans will be taking on the always tough Houston Texans. The Titans got off to a good start week one with a win over the defending AFC champions Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Titans will go into this game looking to run the ball with rookie 1st rounder halfback Stacy Capers and 2nd year Runner D'onta Foreman. Those 2 add a nice speed/power combo the Titans owner loves to have. If all goes to plan we would like to see each of them get at least 10-15 carries. Hopefully by doing this we can slow down the potent pass rush of Jadeveon Clowney and JJ Watt. By doing this we also hope to set up the play action to go over the top to our speedy Wide Outs Tyreke Hill, KaVontae Turpin, and Paul Richardson. The Titans like to take deep shots down the field due to the amount of speed they have at the wide receiver postion. With that speed however going over the top isn't always neccasarry. Just getting the ball in the hands of these blazing fast receivers will be very vital to the success in week 2. Look for screens and slants to try to get the ball out fast and into those guys hands. This should help counter act the pass rush of the Texans. With Marcus Mariota out for at least another 6 weeks. JT Barrett will continue on as the starter. JT has filled in decently in the little amount of time we have seen him. He has struggled to throw the tougher passes, outs and comebacks for example. In turn this has really brought the production down of the Titans big bodied receiver Dorial Green-Beckham. Titans have been trying to utilize JT Barrett's feet from time to time to make up for some of the missed opurtunties his inconsistent arm has created.

The Titans defense will look to get after Brock Oswieler early and often. The Titans don't think it is a necessity to win but it would be really helpful. The Titans are coming in with added confidence after a great game from the secondary last week. Stand out corner Adorre Jackson had 2 picks last week, one being of the pick 6 variety. The recently acquired Eric Berry also make the Titans a little more confident in their secondary. The Titans think that they will beable to stop the run without any problems. However are a little worried about Lamar Millers big play capabilities. "You can have him bottled up all day and then boom, one big run can change everything."

Will the Titans move to 2-0 and take an early lead in the division. We will know the answer to that tonight!
