How many games does everyone want to have for each season? We will vote on three options:
162 games - A real MLB schedule. With 162 game you get realistic season stats and a realistic pennant race. However, at least half your games will likely be simmed so we can keep things moving (unless you do nothing but play MLB lol).
82 games - Rough half a Major League season. Statistically you can basically double your season stats and get an idea of what a full season would have looked like. You can still get a decent pennant race and face a good variety of opponents still .
40 games - 1/4 of a big league season. This option would keep us moving the quickest (probably getting to the playoffs every 6 weeks or so), but gives us much less play time with out teams. You also cant afford many losing streaks and don't have much time to fight back into the pennant race if you start slowly.
Last year we shot for about 10 games player per week. If we did 162 games, we would shoot for 20 with everyone accepting you would have many of your games simmed. 82 games gives us about a 2 month season with a couple weeks for playoffs and offseason. 40 games goes the quickest and gives us a ton of replay value but not a lot of time with our teams.
