After a week 7 loss to the Steelers in overtime, Coach, Mike McCoy decided it was time for a change!

"This didn't come easy, Rivers has been great for us and he's our leader and I can't stress how much we respect him on this team!"
Coach, Mike McCoy

Rivers through seven games did not look like the guy we all came to see on Sundays! He was able to move the ball, just wasn't able to score! Too many key situations that he did or almost cost the team a loss. There is no doubt that Rivers is our leader while he was on the field and we hope he can continue that by mentoring DeShone Kizer!

DeShone Kizer, came out both games as if he was a seasoned vet! This young man has shown poise and maturity like he doesn't know he's a rookie! Kizer will either be a bust or the best thing that has happened to San Diego in a long time! The way this kid is playing the word bust has been put to rest already! The way Kizer has played in his first 2 career starts is remarkable! We know most coaches want to ease their rookie QB's into the playbook, for Kizer he didn't settle he was making those big plays that the Chargers fan's so desperately wanted to see from their quarterback! Just within 2 games this team has looked like a whole new team offensively than they have all season long!

Even though its two games, DeShone Kizer has proven himself very worthy of being this teams starting qb for a long time coming! The future is bright and we can't wait to see what it holds! With a new stadium coming in next season and Kizer continues this type of play the fans will be happy in San Diego for a long time!
