Team Schemes/Playbook Declaration (Signature League)

Each owner needs to post their team's offensive and defensive schemes and the playbooks that they will use as well as their no huddle preference prior to the preseason beginning. This will be the equivalent of hiring offensive and defensive coordinators for your team. Once you post, you are married to those schemes, playbooks and no huddle preferences for the entire season. Those choices will also carry over to each subsequent season unless you post a change in this threadduring the offseason. We will keep this thread updated with each team's schemes/playbooks and no huddle preferences as an easy to use cheat sheet/scouting tool for everyone.

Each owner will be required to stick to their selections throughout the season. If you choose to be a power run team and use the Ravens playbook, you should mostly be running a pro style offense and using a fullback on the majority of your non-3rd down plays. Likewise, if you choose to be a west coast offense, you should be using under center run plays and short, timing based passes for the majority of your plays. On defense, if you choose attacking 3-4, you shouldn't be coming out in a 4-3 defense or sitting in a base defense the entire game. You should be attacking from a 3-4 with a decent amount of blitzes and pressure.

Below are the schemes and no huddle options. Keep in mind, if you choose to run no huddle at any point during your games, you will still be held to the same standard of mixing up your gameplay. Using the same inside zone play or same verticals concept over and over will not be allowed. You should set up custom audibles and get comfortable with the different formations and quick audibles. If that is more complex than you want to get with your offense, simply state that you will be running no huddle a "low" percentage of the time and use the no huddle sparingly (if at all).

NOTE: No custom playbooks are allowed. Only actual team playbooks may be used.

Offensive Schemes - Balanced Offense, Power Run, Zone Run, West Coast, Spread, Vertical Offense

Defensive Schemes - Base 4-3, Attacking 4-3, Base 3-4, Attacking 3-4, Zone Blitz 3-4, Tampa 2, Hybrid Defense

No Huddle

Due to issues with no huddle in CFM, only traditional use of no huddle is permitted.
  • Allowed in final two minutes of 1st half
  • Allowed in final two minutes of 4th quarter when tied or trailing
  • Allowed any time in 4th quarter when trailing
  • Allowed in 3rd quarter if trailing by 18 or more

Just a reminder that we changed no huddle rules. I may have forgot to post it in here. But using traditional no huddle rules as it is still buggy in CFM.
