In what can only be described as a complete shock to the football world, the New York Jets have been bought out in majority by none other than Sam Hinkie, the former General Manager and President of Basketball Operations of the Philadelphia 76ers. Sam Hinkie bought out the team with his group of investors after finding no one in the NBA that would allow him to be their general manager.

Hinkie has spoken to the press about his new job and his role in the organization, stating that he will continue to be general manager along with being majority owner of the franchise. He realizes that many may stand opposed to his methods, but says that his "process" works. Joel Embiid is the first player he pointed too along with Ben Simmons, Jahlil Okafor and Nerlins Noel. Simmons and Embiid being recently effective and playing well showering the Sixers with hope for the future.

Hinkie sees the Jets as another project and one that will need patience and careful development. Hinkie did want to make one statement for sure, "We will be keeping all staff to see the year out. We will make evaluations and determine our path from there. We are very High on coach Todd Bowles and his ability to develops talent."

With only 3 wins this season, it seems like the process had already begun. We might be seeing 3 wins on the column for a long, long time.
