Seattle Seahawks Season 15 Preview

After a very disappointing season full of turnovers, a lack of a running game, and bad luck. Seattle looks to rebound with a stronger Defense and Improved Oline.

Key Draft Additions:

Frederick Chancellor-Penn State MLB: 82 OVR

For the first round, The 6’2” , 250 pound MLB was too much for the Seahawks to pass up with the 8th pick, despite having superstar Bobby Wagner. With a 3-4 Defense being run often, Chancellor coupled with Wagner look to own the middle of the field in both the running and passing game.

Chancellor played lights out in pre-season, being Ray Lewis-like, ALWAYS being at the ball.*Update* Sadly, in the 4th game of Pre-Season Seattle lost Chancellor for the first 4 games with a Shoulder Tear.

Will Hoover-S.C. State WR :66 OVR,

Hoovers 6’6” height coupled with his 95 Jumping ability and High Stamina, make him a developing star under Vet, Doug Baldwin

Dillon Curley- Delaware Center: 73 OVR

Another big man, at 6’4”, 301 pounds Curley looks to take over the center position held by Brian Schwenke whom underwhelmed in season 14.

Key Free Agents and Pick Ups

WR Brandon Marshall 83 OVR- Baldwin lead the NFL in receiving yards last year, partially due to a poor play by other WRs coupled with the injury bug forcing the lineup to modify from week to week. Marshalls experience and size will give Wilson another option this year.

CB Aqib Talib 83 OVR- Another aging star to balance out Sherman. Placing McFadden as a starter last year just exposed his lack of experience.

LG Clint Boling 82 OVR- Picked up in Free Agency, Boling will add another component to a very weak left side that was taken advantage of last season and contributed to Wilsons NFL leading Interceptions.

RT Eugene Monroe 81 OVR- Traded from Chicago for their 4th round pick, Monroe as an aging vet will add some much needed skill on the Seattle Oline

Names to watch:

HB Nick Chubb 81 OVR- Seattle was unsuccessful trying to trade Rawls, who played lackluster last season. 3rd year man, Chubb had Great production in preseason. Has Star Development and a great Nose of the end zone inside the 20….and you have to love that name.

TE Mark Andrews 80 OVR- With his size (6’4”), Andrews had a decent rookie season until going out with injury the last 3rd of the year. Promoted to started for the ’18 Season, look for Andrews to become more of a “Go-To” for Wilson.

Taverus McFadden 81 OVR- 1st rounder Mcfadden, had a disappointing Rookie year starting opposite Sherman. This resulted in Mcfadden was benched for Vet Talib. However, Seattle loves Mcfadden as the Nickel CB this year and expects more production from this ball hawk. *UPDATE* - Injured in Preseason Week 4, Out 4 games.

-that’s right, both first rounder’s the last two year out 4 games
