Numerous Issues Mar Release of Madden 25

What was supposed to be a celebrated release honoring 25 years of Madden football has turned into a PR nightmare for Electronic Arts and their EA Sports division.

First, there were reports that there was a bug regarding draft classes repeating in the new Connected Franchise mode. There were also complaints that the new draft class importer from NCAA Football 14 was not working properly and was said to "not be 100%" at release. Now, freezing issues making online gaming virtually impossible have bled into their 5th day (8th including the early release). EA released a workaround for the freezing issues but apparently have still not identified the issue or come up with a solution.

This is not the first issue with an EA Sports football game at release. In fact, it is actually another in a long line of release day issues for the company's Tiburon studio. One has to wonder when Executive Vice President of EA Sports, Andrew Wilson, is going to say "enough is enough" and start making sweeping changes in both the Madden and NCAA products. At some point, the EA fan base is going to revolt and the damage could be irreparable.
