EA Sports unveiled a new spectator mode during yesterday's Madden Challenge. The mode was a third person view of the competitive gameplay from the game's built in broadcast view. This has been a feature that has been talked about going back to Madden 25 (Maybe even Madden 13) when the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One were first announced. Other games have already incorporated a spectator mode for their games and it appears as though EA has finally caught up to them with Madden.
Since the technology is already there, it makes sense that they would incorporate that into Madden 18. This would allow streamers to broadcast their games wwithout fear of an online opponent looking at their plays and adjustments. It would also give leagues like ours a fresh new way to dress up our play-by-play broadcasts and make them look much more like real life broadcasts on Saturday and Sunday.
What do you think? Would you use the new spectator mode in your broadcasts? Would you like to watch league broadcasts with a more NFL-like feel to them on Madden 18?
