Lions and Broncos make a second trade this offseason

In need of finding a young backup to Matt Stafford, the Lions were able to move "up and coming" SS Don Carey (78 ovr) to the Broncos along with the #4 pick in 2015 in exchange for the rifle armed right hander Brock Osweiler (82 ovr)... Carey will compete for the starting spot immediately and could edge out the older veteran Mike Adams who many believe his time may be done ... Carey has more burst and better cover skills so he is projected to be the future starting SS for Denver ... Osweiler on the other hand could be a year or two away ... Stafford's salary hinders the Lions ability to add more depth at WR so most people speculate that Stafford could be off-loaded in the offseason for the younger, stronger Osweiler
