How to prevent "Excessive Grieving"

Generally, when a player gets kicked from a Madden 25 game for "excessive grieving" it is because of a connection issue. There are several things that you can do to reduce the chance that you encounter this:
  • Upgrade your internet connection to at least 10MB upload speed - The current generation of games are much more resource intensive than those of just a few years ago (and will get worse with next gen). Most ISP's (Internet Service Providers) will upgrade you to a faster speed for free or for a nominal fee ($5-10 per month). I recommend getting the fastest speeds you can get (20MB+ but at least 10MB).
  • Turn off all wifi using devices - Even when hardwired to the modem, devices that use wifi can drain your available bandwith and slow down your connection. This is important for everyone, but if you have a connection less than 20MB it is imperative.
  • Reboot your modem and/or router - Your modem and/or router generally have a built in cache to store previously visited sites much like your PC. hen the cache becomes full it can bog down your modem or router. Unplugging the modem and/or router for 30 seconds refreshes the device and clears out the cache. This can help a great deal with connection issues.
While these aren't all of the steps that you can take to minimize the occurrence of this connection issue, they are the most common and the ones that generally causes these types of occurrences.
