Despite missing 3 of his top 4 wide receivers, Brock Osweiler lead the Texans past the Oakland Raiders by a score of 38 to 17. Osweiler threw for 297 yards and 3 touchdowns in the win. Wide Receivers Will Fuller and Charlton Ragland didn't suit up for the game due to injury and in the first quarter Braxton Miller was injured and did not return. Cecil Shorts took the opportunity and ran with it. He had a career game with 5 receptions for 118 yards and a touchdown. Lamar Miller had another great game running for 117 yards and 2 touchdowns on 17 carries.

The Texans defense had a great day, forcing Derek Carr into many mistakes. The pass rush was too much for the Raider offensive line as the Texans recorded 5 sacks in the game, Clowney had 2 of those sacks. Carr was also picked off 3 times in the game, as Kevin Johnson, Benardrick McKinney, and Andre Hal all got an interception.

It was a great team win for the Texans and they look forward to facing the Cleveland Browns next week.
