Hawks Force Game 7​

After falling down 3-1 the hawks have came back and forced a game 7 after a blowout game 6 and win129-118. It was a game where the Hawks had a comfortable lead and then pushed away in the mid 4th quarter. The main reasons being +14 in rebounds, +17 in fast break while shooting 10% better from 3's and 12% better from the field.

Al Horford lead the way with 24 points and 11 rebounds. All Star PF Paul Milsap had 23 points and 13 rebounds. Dennis Schroder had 15 points and 10 assist while Kyle Korver added 15 off the bench

* I have changed offense sliders for both user and CPU down 5 and it helped a little bit but not as much as I would have liked. So I may move to 11 min quarters

Game 7 vs Celtics​

It was a back and forth game all game long and with 2 minutes to go the Hawks was up 1. Starting PG Dennis Schroder called a pick and roll and Kent Bazemore hit a huge 3 pointer to go up 4. Next time down the court Schroder would find Paul Milsap for a easy dunk to go back up 4. Now with 53 seconds to go and the hawks up 2 Bazemore drove the lane hit the shot and the free throw and Hawks went up 5. After 2 more defense stops the hawks did the unthinkable and came back from down 3-1. They advanced to the 2nd round to face the #6 seed Hornets

Al Horford was the player of the game with 22 points and 14 rebounds. Bazemore had 21 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assist. Milsap had 21 points and 15 boards. Schroder had 14 points and 14 assist. Middleton had 13 points 5 and 7.

Hawks sweep Hornets​

After struggling and have a classic series with the Celtics the Hawks caught a break when the #6 seed Hornets upset the #3 Miami Heat. The Hornets just didn't have the talent especially in the post. It looked like the Hawks might catch another break when the Cavs dropped the first 2 games in the other series. The Cavs would go on to win 4 straight and for the 2nd straight year it will be Hawks vs Cavs in the Eastern Conference Finals. Your Western conference game will be the #2 Golden State Warriors vs the shocking 5th seeded New Orleans Pelicans. Keep in mind the Warriors are playing without Seth Curry who is out for the rest of the playoffs.

Cavs win game 1 at a cost​

The Hawks came out with a strategy to play LeBron tight and let other guys beat them. That sounded good on paper, but in reality its Lebron James and he is just hard to stop. He would still end up with 27 points, 8 rebounds, and 9 assist while Kyrie Irving had 29 points and 9 assist. The Cavs made a very questionable trade when they gave up Kevin Love for Thadeus Young. He had a solid game as well and so far the trade has paid off. The Cavs would go on to easily win game 1.

If you wondering what the costly part was it was Cavs starting center and rebound specialist Tristan Thompson who will be out 4-6 weeks with a sever sprained ankle. Dennis Schroder lead the way for the Hawks with 17 and 10 assist. Horford and Milsap both added double doubles.

Irving can't be stopped​

Dennis Schroder came out on fire scoring the first 7 points of the game. The Cavs once again just proved they are in a different class then Hawks and would go on to win 107-92. Lebron was held pretty much in check with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 12 assist. The person who couldn't be stopped was Kyrie Irving who had 39 points and 8 rebounds. It lead some fans to wonder why they didn't double team him.

No hawk player had more then 16 points and Milsap lead the way with 15 and 12 rebounds while Horford had 13 and 10. After the hot start Schroder would only score 4 more points. Tim Mozgov started at center in the place of the injured Thompson. Now the hawks are down 0-2 and will be going home where they must win both games if they want to make the NBA Finals.

It's super easy. You can either download a snipping tool or a program called irfan view. They are both free. Snipping tool you highlight the part of your screen you want to make a pic of and save it. Irfan view, you click print screen (on PC not sure about Mac) and then paste it and crop it. Might not work on iPad but I'm sure Apple has similar apps. Definitely makes for a more immersive reading experience.

The virtual Hawks who are down 0-2 to the cavs will play/steam game 3 later on tonight after the real life Hawks play. They are also down 0-2 to the cavs and also beat the Celtics round 1.

Must win game for the Hawks​

The Hawks came out on fire with a 13 to 2 lead to start the game with Middleton having 9 of those. Unlike game 2 the hot start would last and Hawks had a 50-44 lead at half time. The Cavs would go on fire in the 3rd quarter and take the lead. The combo of Horford and Milsap bounced back to take a 2 point lead after being down as many as 7 in the 3rd quarter.

Milsap would hit a 3 to tie the game with 4:40 to go. Milsap would hit another 3 pointer to cut the lead to 1 with 3:07 to go. Kyrie Irving for the cavs jumper would put them up 3. Irving would end up with 20 points and 11 assist. Horford would answer on the other end and Cavs back up by 1 with 1:24 to go in the 4th. Schroder would run a pick and roll and find Milsap for a dunk and his 18th assist of the game. Milsap and Horford would go on to combine for 50 points and 20 rebounds on the night.

Now it was crunch time Hawks up 1 with 51 seconds to go and Lebron James misses a shot. He was held to only 16 points on the night At this point Schroder was having a odd game he had a career high 18 assist with 0 turnovers and only 2 points. He would make his 1st turnover on a bad pass and the cavs would take advantage of it for a layup and they took a 1 point lead with 16 seconds to go. On the end Schroder would make up for it getting fouled and hitting 2 clutch free throws.

So after a timeout you have Cavs down 1 with 5 seconds to go and the following happened

Game 4 - ECF​

The hawks again came out playing well and was up 3 points at the end of the 1st quarter. The long ball was working and 50% 3 point % had the hawks up 5 at halftime. Khris Middleton hit back to back 3's in the mid 3rd quarter and the hawks was now up 15. The home town fans had Phillips Arena rocking which you can see from the below picture.

At the start of the 4th the Hawks had a 12 point lead and had all the starting 5 rested so they could play the whole 4th quarter. As expected the Cavs was not going down easy and cut the lead to 3 with 2 minutes to go. Paul Milsap would add 2 FT's to make the lead 5. Now the hawks needed one more basket to seal the game with 34 seconds to go. Dennis Schroder whose scoring has been down this series hit a layup to give the hawks a 115-110 point win.

Now the series was tied at 2 and going back to Cleveland for game 5. Horford has 24 points and 7 rebounds while Milsap had 19 points and 12 rebounds. For the Cavs Leborn once again was held in check with 15 points and Irving had 28 points and 8 assist

I had planned on doing a big off season writeup, but since I keep it sim they wasn't much to write about. So I keep it simple with a few pics. I was able to bring Bazemore back on a 3 year deal around 5-6 million per year. I didn't sign any FA's as the class was very weak so i saved the cap space. I drafted a PG with the first round - 25th pick who is like a 70 overall. I will likely make a trade at some point as I have several guys that are on the last year of there deal. I may do a writeup on that soon.
