This man Melvin Gordon was an absolute BEAST against the Houston Texans! Gordon scored all three of the Chargers touchdowns all on the ground! No matter what the Texans threw at him he couldn't be contained! His Biggest highlight was a break away 75 yard touchdown and the thing is he wasn't even touched! The Chargers ran it right up the gut and Melvin did the rest! Gordon also had a nice reception connecting on a HB screen pass from QB Phillip Rivers going for 34 yards. Gordon was a big part of the Chargers offense no doubt and if he can keep averaging 7.8 carries a game, that will lead for more success for Quarterback, Phillip Rivers!
With all that being said we can't leave out the Defense! The Chargers Defense may have gave up 312 passing yards and you may think that's not good at all! Well that also comes with them picking the Texans off 3 times, a sack and holding the Texans only to 10 rushing yards! The Texans were only able to get 7 first downs to the Chargers 16 and they only allowed the Texans to enter the red zone once and that was for a field goal! All in all it was a good day for the Chargers and Owner, Odell Adams getting their first win together!
We hope to see more of this type of play from Melvin Gordon in the future!!!
