MIAMI DOLPHINS
AFC EAST
1-0

I had a chance to catch up with new owner of the Miami Dolphins this year, and we did a little one on one! Here's what he had to say:

Your team fought strong last year, but just barely missed the playoffs. How do you prepare your team this year to fight even harder to try and get a playoff spot in this tough AFC conference?

You missed out on the first round chaos of the draft this year, due to the trade with Minnesota that took away your first rounder for AP. Do you still agree with the deals of that trade? AP did win OPOY and BEST RB award, so it appears as if he is loving it down here in Miami.

The trade For AP, I can't give you an definitive answer at this point because we have an New Owner and new regime in place. And decisions made in the past are exactly that the PAST. Our draft is exactly what we expected to be going into the the War room trying to prepare for the new season this year, but after having a decent draft, we still weren't satisfied with our overall team.

You won the first game of the year against the Jaguars. How do you prepare for Brady and the Patriots in week 2? They won the division last year, and they completely gutted that great Ravens team. Brady went 22/28 346 yards and 2 TD. Can your defense step up to this challenge?

Looking ahead at our Matchup against the great Tom Brady as always we have to limit his processions and mix up our coverages to make him feel as uncomfortable in the pocket as we can. And Gronk well he's Gronk we just hope to contain him as much possible and not let him alone beat us. Make Brady throw to other receivers.

You made a pretty big trade in week one that made some noise. All offseason, rumors were that the Browns were going to trade Gordon, then when a trade with the Browns was made, it took everyone by surprise to see that it was actually Alex Mack and MJD on the move instead of Gordon. You in turn gave up your 2nd round pick in the 2016 draft, and gave the Browns Lamar Miller and Luke Bowanko. How do you feel this trade will impact well on your team, and is this trade the final piece to this dolphins team? Are you a complete team now, or is there still room for improvement?

So after speaking and having numerous meeting with our Coaching staff and our new Owner Mr.Uweaks, we new we had to make an splash. So as an result the trade for Mr. Mack and Jones-Drew was made. By know means Do we feel all is well in Miami. There will always be room for improvement in all aspects of our team and organization and as a whole. We traded for MJD for one sole purpose, and that is to keep team at the same level rather he is on the sideline taking a breather or absent taking care of his legal proceedings. We had discuss in length with AP before making the trade For MJD about his understanding of the trade. Since AP will be suspended for Two regular season games MJD will indeed be an most valuable added asset to our backfield. Giving up a second round draft pick for Mr. Mack , which I believe was an absolute steal, and we're so thankful to the Browns organization for helping us make this trade happen, Lamar Miller will truly be missed in our locker for his hard work on the field and his leadership in the locker. As far as Luke he is a rookie and we wish the best with his new team.

It's a contract year for Ryan Tannehill. He is an ex-WR turned QB from A&M, and been in the league for 3 years now. He hasn't "exploded" or been that "big time guy" and he had what some would call a mediocre performance in week 1. What does Tannehill need to do in this contract year to earn a new contract with the Dolphins, and remain "the guy" in this city. How do the fans and media around Miami feel about Tannehill? What do you see his future as?

We are well aware that this a contract year for Tannehill, we've sat down with him in the off season and set goals for him as our starting QB, up until this point he has done a fine job ! His first game performance was indeed shaky but in the great words of our Competitor
Aaron Rogers " RELAX " it was the first game, next year we will be looking for another QB in the later rounds to help sure up our backup role and to help push Tannehill to his upmost potential. Our fans down here in Miami have mixed feeling about our QB, but that's well understood at this point since we missed the playoffs by a narrow margin. As far as the league we have no concerns everyone has a fresh slate at this moment.

I do thank you for your time today Mr. Uweaks, is there anything else you have to say to the fans, media or league?

Well Thank you for this opportunity to answer your question, maybe the next time the Finns get the spotlight we will discussing the playoffs !!
