Season Follow Up:
The Kansas City Chiefs finished the regular season with a record of 13-3. They finished in the top ten on defense once again. The offense took a step back from an efficiency stand point, as they finished in the middle of the league. They made a great run thru the playoffs, coming up short in the Super Bowl once again. It was a tremendous effort by the team and they certainly earned their way there. New leaders emerged and a change of the guard has taken place.
Season Preview:
Heading into next season, the Chiefs are preparing for another great season. The goal is to achieve the goal, a VICTORY in the Super Bowl. There were no free agent signings as Mr. BlackPaw had to pay the socialist tax this year. He has stated he expects a windfall of funds by seasons end. The roster had a bit of turnover as the team lost some key leaders. Nonetheless, the team drafted some young linebackers to inject some youth into an already stellar defense. Belton, Grove and Keller will be household names by seasons end, write that down. Similar to the defense, the team added players of high caliber and tremendous football IQ. So expectations are high for both sides of the ball in terms of development as well as execution. The team is faced with another difficult schedule. Even so, the team will maintain its commitment to excellence.
