The Chicago Bears are on the verge of making the playoffs for the first time since 2010 when Head Coach Lovie Smith led the Bears to the NFC Conference Championship game against the Green Bay Packers. It has been 30 years since the Bears have won the Super Bowl and they look to change that this year for Super Bowl 50. The Bears are 5-4 and are looking to claim a playoff spot in the wild card. The division looks as if it will go to the Minnesota Vikings who still only has one loss this year and are sitting comfortably in 1st place with a 7-1 record.

The Bears have been led this year by Quarterback Jay Cutler and Running Back Matt Forte. Jay Cutler has thrown for over 2000 passing yards this year and has 20 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. Cutler also has a career high best 95.5 Quarterback Rating. Matt Forte this year has another 1,000 yard season for the Bears and is looking to keep a high volume of play even as he's about to turn 30 at the beginning of December. Forte also has 10 touchdowns and is averaging over 6 yards a carry. Veteran receiver Alshon Jeffery has led the way this year as expected. He has 43 catches for 647 yards and 5 touchdowns. However, the emergence of 1st round pick #7 overall Kevin White, has shown to be a very good 2nd option for Cutler. Kevin White may only have 26 catches this year but he has 8 touchdowns to go with it, which is tied for 2nd in the NFL and leads all rookies.

The remainder of the Bears schedule seems to be in their favor. Their toughest games are on the road verse divisional opponents, Green Bay Packers (3-5) (Thanksgiving Day) and Minnesota Vikings (7-1). The Bears remaining opponents have a combined record of 21-36, and will look to take advantage of the weak part of their schedule.
