San Diego started off with the 25th pick in the draft, at the end of the day they ended up at #4! Making stops at pick #11 to pick #7 and finally landing at #4! The Chargers felt the moves they made were very necessary in order to get the guy they felt would be an impact caliber player for this franchise! Who can blame them? Only losing their 3rd for the 2017 draft as well as their 3rd for the 2018 draft seems to be a win win for the Chargers! On their way to pick #4 the Chargers parted ways with Jeremiah Attaochu and Travis Benjamin! Although these guys were are big part of the teams success the signing of Lawrence Timmons and Josh Gordon alongside with Charles Johnson seems to be making the fans very happy in San Diego!

Rd 1 Pick 4
QB DeShone Kizer, Notre Dame

With Phillip Rivers getting close to the end of his career the Chargers felt this move had to be done! What better way to have a talented QB like Kizer to be an understudy to Rivers! Kizer brings poise and maturity at the QB position. This young man has an arm like no other and he's an accurate passer! With the receiving core the Chargers have, Kizer should have no problems excelling!

Rd 2 pick 23
WR Corey Davis, Western Michigan

With the departure of Travis Benjamin, the Chargers knew that if Corey Davis was available that he was their guy! This kid will make an impact for sure for this team! He has great speed, one of the better route runners in this class, he isn't afraid to go over the middle to make the play and this man can be a pretty good returner as well!

Rd 4 pick 25
CB Ed Paris, LSU

Ed Paris was a good pickup for this team! The Chargers needed that #3 lockdown corner! Paris has height and speed to be able to keep those big plays from happening. He is capable of covering man to man as well play zone. Paris is one of the more rounded corners in this draft!

Rd 5 pick 25
TE Jeremy Sprinkle, Arkansas

Jeremy Sprinkle is by far my favorite pick in this draft! He shows the ability to be coached and that's a rare trait in young athletes today! This young man is so similar to Antonio Gates with his height, speed and ability to catch the ball! Sprinkle wasn't one of the big names leading into the draft as far as TE's go. With Antonio Gates close to retirement this young man is able to step right in and fill that void!
