Much like last year's NFC championship game, this week 2 matchup was filled with interesting plays and ended in a thrilling overtime that saw Seattle once again coming back from down multiple touchdowns to win. Defense still wins championships and that was apparent because this game was filled with turnovers from both teams.Seattle got into trouble early when Rodgers hit Jordy Nelson back to back, both deep passes and the second of which was a TD. Seattle answered back quickly with a Marshawn Lynch score from inside the 10 yd line.
At half the score was 17-10 with Hauschka hitting a fieldgoal as time expired in the 1st half. Then Russell Wilson started to implode much like he did in the NFC title game last year throwing 5 interceptions. After Aaron Rodgers suffered a torn PCL earlier in the half things started to turn around for the Hawks. Trailing 24-10 at the start of the 4th quarter. The Seahawks put a couple of drives together hitting both tight ends for scores on seperate drives. The final Seahawk TD came within the last 40 seconds of the game to Jimmy Graham to send it into OT.
In OT Seattle won the toss and drove down field and once again Hauschka puts another FG through the up rights to take the lead. Scott Tolzien did the best he could but he's no Aaron Rodgers and ended up going 3/12 for 23 yards before Bobby Wagner finished off the Pack and the game with an OT interception. And we're on to Chicago, ARE YOU IN?
