Hall of Famer
Well, Hello there Cowboy Nation!!! Football season is right around the corner and you know what that means! Hit it Thin Lizzy! That's right, the Boys are back in town! Last year was a season for the ages as we finished the season 13-3 and a bye in the playoffs. The season ended in heartbreak as we couldn't close it against the Packers once again. The season gave this fanbase life though. A lot of things emerged last year. Mainly the rookies. When Romo went down in preseason the consensus was "Here we go again", then we found the unlikely star in Dak Prescott. Along with that came the emergence of Zeke Elliot. These 2 tore up the NFL like no other rookie duo has before. Let's take a quick look back at the explosiveness last year! This video tells the whole story.

"In Dak We Trust"
Looking ahead out of the offseason, we had a pretty solid draft. There was nothing wrong with our offense last year, but the biggest concern was defense. We had a few key departures as well. This left a huge hole in our defense. We took that into consideration while we were drafting and drafted 7 defensive players. With the right grooming and learning while we have a high powered offense, this defense has the potential to be phenomenal. Here are the Dallas Cowboys 2017 Draft Picks:

  • 1st Round Pick 28: DE Taco Charlton. Michigan. Grade: B
  • 2nd Round Pick 60: CB Chidobe Awuzie. Colorado. Grade: A
  • 3rd Round Pick 92: CB Jourdan Lewis. Michigan. Grade: A- or C- (Depending on pending legal issues)
  • 4th Round Pick 133: WR Ryan Switzer. North Carolina. Grade: A-
  • 6th Round Pick 191: S Xavier Woods. Louisiana Tech. Grade: A
  • 6th Round Pick 216: CB Marquez White. Florida State. Grade: C
  • 7th Round Pick 228: DT Joey Ivie. Florida. Grade: B-
  • 7th Round Pick 239: WR Noah Brown. Ohio St. Grade: A-
  • 7th Round Pick 248: DE Jordan Carrell. Colorado. Grade: B
*Picks grading based off projected value for the round picked and depth that fit the Dallas Cowboys*
The Dallas Cowboys will be run this year by a veteran owner, with a couple Super Bowl wins under his belt. He is also a life long Dallas Cowboys fan. It should be a fun campaign to see what Bigtex can do with the Cowboys. Once this young defense gets up to par, this could be a powerhouse team! Be sure to follow all of the updates on the official twitter page, @PX1CowboyNation. The NFC East should most definitely be an interesting one with new rivals in the form of Duv49ers as the Giants and blahblahyea7 as the Eagles. Now, Cowboy Nation, sit back, relax, and enjoy the fireworks!
